In Part 1, we covered the GAF Timberline HDZ shingle line, and in this installment of the series, we’re taking a look at Timberline UHDZ siding.
UHDZ stands for “Ultra High Definition Shingles,” and they’re truly a sight to behold. Coupled with GAF’s UltraMat high-performance fiberglass mat technology, these shingles are a premium product that Madison-area homeowners love.
The UHDZ line can also be upgraded to a GAF FORTIFIED Roof, adding an additional layer of strength to GAF’s already robust, durable asphalt roofing systems.

- It is a premium laminate shingle, and is a heavier grade than the Timberline HDZ shingle
- GAF’s UltraMat high-performance fiberglass mat technology enhances the shingle at its core and is rated UL 2218 Class 41 for impact-resistance
- UHDZ’s patent-pending dual shadow lines for, “dramatic sunset shadows all day long” giving the roofing a beefier look. This is complimented by six attractive color blends (all shown below).
